Sending money internationally

Sending money internationally - physically

Most countries disallow the sending of money internationally via the postal service, most likely due to money laundering and they want to keep track of where the money is in their country. However if you wish to approach the sending money internationally be sure to check out your Postal Service. Usually they offer "money orders".

A money order is a ticket that you buy. For example:
1. You want to send £50.00 to a friend in America.
2. You give the post office £50.00 and they give you a money order for £50.00.
3. You can then post the money order to the recipient who can then cash it for $ at their end.

Usually if a money order is in a differnet currency from the country in which you reside you will have to either send it in the recipients local currency or ask the recipient to cash it at a bank instead of a post office.

Sending money internationally: Online bank transfer Online Bank Transfer:

The most obvious way to sending money internationally online/digitally is by transfering the money from your account to the other persons through your online banking. Most banks allow their account holds access to their accounts online, and are able to transfer money to any bank anywhere in the world.

If the money will be transferred from one currency to another: for example from Euros into GBP then the recipients bank will most likely charge a currency exchange fee on top of the transfer. Usually it is the recipient who incurrs this charge however you should check with your bank first.

Sending money internationally: PayPal, NoChex, World Pay

There are several other companies out there including PayPal, NoChex and WorldPay which allow the payment and transfer and sending money internationally. Basically you fill out a form as to how much you want to send the recipient, their paypal, nochex, worldpay email or username and then once the payment is submitted the company will start the process of transfering the money from one account to the recipients. I am not bias towards the companies listed, they are just a few of the many differnet companies who offer these services and are the most well known.

Give me money

Why would people say "give me money"?

Some people think that just because they are on the internet, people should - in their words "give me money". Just like in the real world few things are free, and you have to work hard to get what you really want in life.

Typically the people who do not work, have a home (the homeless also known as beggars) will be sat in a shop doorway begging saying "give me money". Most of us are not like this in the real world so why do people do it online?

Some people would narrow down the concept of "give me money" to the greed factor which everyone has in them. However if you have loaned someone money in the past you have every right to ask for their money back by saying give me money.

Give me money - how to make money.

There are a lot of different ways to make money in life. By saying give me money is not morally a valid option. If you need money then the best route to take is by getting a job. Every job will pay differntly depending upon what the job is about and how good your qualifications and inteligence levels are.

If you plan on making money online then you can offer services, digital goods, or physical goods to potential buyers. For individuals selling second hand items is an option through online auction sites.
Once you have given your services/goods (or even before completion) you can then say "give me money" to the consumer.

Money Problems

What are money problems?

Money problems effect each and every one of us at some point in our lives. Money problems are classed as "debt", unpayable credit notes, not enough money to pay the bills, or money re-payments that are difficult to make. It is not only individuals who can have money problems, many businesses also have money problems, whether its clients not paying, or massive loans to re-pay which were taken to startup or advance.

Why do people have money problems?

Many people claim that they have money problems and blame it on the apparent "recession" however it is upto each individual to properly manage thier income and expenses to prevent money problems.

If you have more expenses than income, then you have money problems. Some people choose to take out loans to tackle money problems, however this just makes the debt bigger and span over a larger amount of time.

Trade stock online

Why trade stocks online?

In the past the only way to trade stock was through at massive stock exchange companies. With people yelling thier bids in crowded and roudy rooms.

Since the internet has been made afordable and most households now have at least one device which can access the internet, many people who have been trading stocks and shares now trade stocks online from the comfort of their own home or office.

Trading stocks online through the internet has meant that stocks and shares may now be much more competitive than they were as most people who have access to the internet and those who want to deal in trade stocks and shares have it at their fingertips, instead of attempting to get to the stocks and share companies who were few and far between in the past.

The benefits of trade stock online is that you get to see live feedback, and live data which includes how much the stocks are currently priced at, see trends such as whether or not its a good time to invest in a company if they stock and shares are cheap, and are potentially going to reach high figures in the near future.

Online Auction

What are online auction sites?

Online auctions are generally just like real life auction houses. A seller of an item lists it for so many days and then the bidding starts. As long as the reserve is met the person with the highest bid wins, pays for the item and then you post it to them.

What are the costs when selling on online auction sites?

Online auction sites will generally charge you a listing fee (a price to list the item) and then they will take commission from the sale. Usually this is about 2.4% but the value will depend upon the price the item sold for and the auction site you are using. Additionally if you are allowing your buyers to pay via online payment methods such as paypal, there will be additional charges to you as a seller for the payment handling and if the buyer was outside your country then currency exchange fees may also be charged on top of it.

As a seller on online auction sites you are expected to also post the item so postage and packing costs you will also need to pay. However if you listed the auction correctly the seller will pay for the post and packing of the item.

What are the costs when buying on online auction sites?

Generally you do not have to pay the auction site to bid on an item (although there are some online auction websites which do charge you to buy bids). Usually the only costs a buyer on an online auction website will incurr are the final sale fee and cost to post the item.

For example:

If your winning bid is of £20.00 GBP and and the postage is £1.50 to post the item.
It will cost you £21.50 in total.

What is the cloud?

In its most basic form The cloud is a new terminology for backup server. The Cloud was developed by Apple and allows you to sync all the data together on your Apple devices.

For example: you may own a iPhone, iPad and a iMac. If you have "The Cloud" enabled on those devices then all information saved will be on all your devices.

An example of this is:
1. Take a picture on your iPhone.
2. Your iPhone uploads the image to the iCloud.
3. Your iMac and iPad will then download the image taken on the iphone so they all have it.

Its like an automatic Sync System. I hope this has answered your query of what is the cloud?

Does every computer have access to The Cloud?

No its an Apple creation only apple devices can use it.

What is SEO?

If you have a website or a general interest in website design then you will have heard about SEO. Not many people actually have a good understanding regarding SEO and its a grey area even to many professionals. And find themselves asking "What is SEO"?

SEO is an abbreviation for a concentrated term known in the industry as Search Engine Optimization. Basically SEO is used to help search engines find your website easier using keywords, terms, headers, relevant page content and a good clean and crisp site design which easily allows search engines to read the content on your web pages.

Google the biggest search engine in the world reveals little information on how their search engine works and so even to professional SEO specialists the task of optimizing a website for good rankings in the search results is still very difficult. Especially when the search engines have a tendancy to update the way their search engine works every few months.

A person who is good at SEO and has optimized their website well will be seen higher up the search engine results pages, for example on the top of page 1, when one of their keywords is typed into the search engine. Bad SEO will result in lower page rankings on the search engine, will not be found easily by people searching the internet and in some cases search engines will ban the website from being viewed from their results page entirely.

So basically get a professional to do it, never attempt SEO yourself.

What is Windows Phone 7 (WP7) ?

Windows Phone 7 (WP7)is the lastest operating system that Microsoft have released for mobile phones. Windows Phone 7 (WP7)is an amazing peice of software, I personally have a Samsung Omnia 7 which has the lastest version of Windows Phone 7 (WP7)on.

Its a very socially orientated operating system, and allows you to view your friends facebook status' right from the home screen through "Live Tiles". You can even see whos online and chat to people on Facebook Chat and MSN Messenger right from your "Messages". And it groups them all together so you can see what you have sent and recieved from individuals.

There is even the location services built in so you can post quickly "im at the pub" or whatever you want and it will place it right on facebook for you. Obviously it has emails, and a great photo/camera suite and everything that you need from a mobile phone is there!

I have had several different types of phones in the past including blackberry, iPhone but the Windows Phone 7 (WP7) is truely amazing, it does everything that I could ever want from a mobile phone.

So if you are thinking of changing your mobile, its highly recommended to give Windows Phone 7 (WP7) a go!

What is the Raspberry Pi Computer?

Recently the British govenment wanted to start "a laptop for every child" initiative. Most parents cannot afford a laptop or computer for their children, especially when children break things easily. So a British company has created a super cheap computer known as the Raspberry Pi.

The Raspberry pi computer is as small as a credit card. There is no box, and is done on the cheap, its basically a circuit board, with various inputs so that it can be plugged into a monitor and have USB mouse and keyboard attached.

No hard drive comes with the raspberry pi computer however it takes solid state SD card to save data and run. It doesnt come with an operating system however the creators of the Raspberry Pi have links to "linux" based operating systems which can be loaded onto the SD card

How much does the Raspberry Pi cost?
The raspberry pi is only avaliable from two distributers in the UK, and prices start at £22.00 GBP. An absolute bargain.

What is the Internet?

Most people at some stage will ask themselves "what is the internet"?

Basically the internet is a whole load (litterally thousands, if not millions) of computers networked together. All of which have online access and many are web servers and contain lots of data and information that the public can view through an internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari, to name a few.

Contrary to popular believe the internet is not a box which allows people browsing the world wide web to access. And no you cannot break the internet by typing internet into your address bar. I hope this has quickly answered your query of what is the internet.

What is Twitter?

Twitter is one of the fastest growing social media websites. Basically its a quick short message website which allows people to post short messages. Most people use twitter to say what they are upto.

Other people can choose to follow them (follow them on twitter) and will be updated with status updates from the person posting the messages.

Celebrities play a large part in Twitter as people like to know what famous people are upto and people like saying "im a friend of such-a-celebrity" even though really they are not. I hope this makes understaning what is twitter more understandable.

Work injury lawyers

What are work injury lawyers and why would i need one?

Injury lawyers are qualified lawyers who specialise in personal injury lawyer claims. If you have been injured at work or on the street then personal injury lawyers are the people to talk to about fighting your case in court or for claiming compensation from the person or company that caused you to become injured.

Whats the deal with "no win - no fee"?

Many work injury lawyers will say that they offer "no win no fee" which basically means if you do not win the case then you do not have to pay for their service. Personal injury lawyers sometimes also say that "you will get 100% of the compensation". This basically means that they will claim for more money in court to fight your case and take the money out of the compensation that is won in your favour.

For example:
Personal Injury Lawyer fees: £1500.
How much compensation you are claiming: £3500.
How much is given if your court case is won: £5000

The injury lawyer will take £1500 from the £5000 won in the court case, leaving you with the full
